Sustainability Manager 

In your position, you support Nordkalk’s business regions in implementing our Sustainability programme and in particular our roadmap towards fossil-free operations with practical “hands on attitude”. You follow closely sustainability development and regulation and recognise new opportunities. You are responsible for coordination of our sustainability reporting and development of our reporting tools and systems. You lead (in matrix role) and support the sustainability team consisting of experts responsible for each sustainability focus area. In this role you also work closely with our owner’s to achieve common sustainability targets and you are also a member of the Sustainability team of Nordkalk’s owner SigmaRoc. 

The Nordkalk sustainability team consists of two persons, but works closely with all other functions in the company.

To be a successful Sustainability Manager at Nordkalk you need:

• Suitable university level education. 
• Strong understanding of sustainability agenda and EU sustainability related regulation, preferably also from setting Science Based Targets.
• At least 3-5 years of experience of sustainability management (preferably both inhouse and consulting roles). 
• Experience in sustainability reporting (GRI, GHG reporting) and development of reporting tools.
• Good cooperation and communication skills, ability to work with all levels of the organisation to reach common goals.
• Experience from industrial company and environmental permit processes seen as an advantage.
• Strong English skills, Finnish and Swedish seen as an advantage.

You may find your home office in one of our offices in Finland or Sweden, but - due to remote working possibilities - also other locations can be considered.
